Preparation beats capital
The founders who raise well aren't the ones who needed money most. They're the ones who were ready when it mattered. Readiness is the thing you can actually build.
It's tempting to believe capital is the constraint. It's rarely the constraint. Money is abundant and impatient; it flows to founders who look ready to use it well.
Readiness is buildable
Narrative, model, data-room, operating plan: none of these require luck. They require reps, honest feedback, and someone who has seen the second meeting go wrong to tell you where yours will. That's the whole thesis.
Capital finds prepared founders. Preparation is the part you control.
